More information about Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émillion AOC - Château Laroque
The barrel-aged Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émillion from the Bordeaux wine-growing region reveals itself in a bright purple red in the glass. This Château Laroque red wine reveals all kinds of sour cherries and plums on the nose. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in small wooden barrels adds further aromas such as minerals, licorice and leather.
The Château Laroque Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émillion is wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. This dense red wine is balanced and multi-layered on the palate. The finish of this very mature red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, Saint-Emilion to be precise, impresses with a remarkable lingering finish. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone and clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émillion from Château Laroque
Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes form the basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émillion cuvée from Château Laroque. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 12 months in oak barriques.
