More information about Kapellchen Riesling trocken - Knipser
The Kapellchen Riesling from Knipser is better known to most Knipser Laumersheimer Kapellenberg Riesling, which since the 2020 vintage so no longer bottled. This classic Riesling from Knipser presents itself as light as the soil on which this German white wine was grown. Into the glass comes the exquisite basic Riesling of the VPD top winery Knipser with light greenish yellow and brilliant shimmer. The nose is fresh and elegant. First, citrus aromas reveal themselves, then herbaceous hints.
The Kapellchen Riesling then prances lightly across the tongue, revealing aromas of citrus, basil and a bit of pear. In the wonderfully varietal-typical finish, this wine delights with length and invigoratingly fresh fruit acidity.
Vinification of the Kapellchen Riesling from Knipser
The subsoil and thus also the basis of this wine, are light, sandy vineyards interspersed with gravel over whose origin in prehistoric times the Rhine flowed away. This lightness, coupled with one of the best grape varieties in the world, is what the connoisseur finally finds in the glass. Through the cool vinification in stainless steel tanks, the typicity of the grape variety and the character of the site come perfectly into the wine.
