In the glass, Golden Kaan's Merlot reveals a dense purple color. This varietal South African wine flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of plums, morello cherries, black cherries and plums. These are joined by hints of other fruits.

On the palate, Golden Kaan's Merlot opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. This silky red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Merlot reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Western Cape, more precisely from the Western Cape, finally convinces with good reverberation.

Vinification of the Merlot from Golden Kaan

This wine clearly puts the focus on one grape variety, and that is Merlot. For this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Golden Kaan only the best grapes were used. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 9 months in French barrels.
