In the glass, this red wine from Nino Negri reveals aromas of lilies, mulberries, blueberries, lavender and wild berry confit, complemented by garrigue, Mediterranean herbs and green peppers. This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense and fleshy texture. The finish of this red wine from the Lombardy wine-growing region, which is capable of maturing, ultimately delights with a beautiful finish.
Vinification of the Quadrio Valtellina Superiore from Nino Negri
The basis for the balanced Quadrio Valtellina Superiore from Lombardy are grapes from the Nebbiolo grape variety. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation for several months in oak barriques.
