More information about Saint Laurent Urgestein - Lergenmüller
The Saint Laurent Urgestein from Lergenmüller in the Palatinate reveals a dense, light red color in the swirled glass. This single-varietal German wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of black currants, mulberries, plums and black cherries in the glass. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, oriental spices and vanilla.
The Lergenmüller Saint Laurent Urgestein presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. This dense red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Saint Laurent Urgestein flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking freshness at the same time. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate, more precisely from Hainfeld, finally thrilled with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.
Vinification of the Saint Laurent Urgestein by Lergenmüller
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Saint Laurent. Only the best grape material was brought in for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Lergenmüller. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Saint Laurent Urgestein can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months...
Food recommendation for the Lergenmüller Saint Laurent Urgestein
