More information about Spätburgunder Bruchsal Gipskeuper - Klumpp

In the glass, Klumpp's organically produced Pinot Noir Bruchsal Gipskeuper presents a bright light red color. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. To the nose, this Klumpp red wine presents all sorts of black currants and blackberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, mineral and black cherry join in due to the aging in small wooden barrels.

The Klumpp Pinot Noir Bruchsal Gipskeuper presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine premium and site wine segment. Balanced and complex, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Baden finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of black currant and blackberry show.

Vinification of the Pinot Noir Bruchsal Gipskeuper from Klumpp

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Pinot Noir. Only impeccable grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Klumpp. Spätburgunder Bruchsal Gipskeuper is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The berries for this red wine from Germany are harvested, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes are taken by the fastest route to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the elegant Pinot Noir Bruchsal Gipskeuper is aged for several months in French oak barriques.

Food recommendation for Klumpp Pinot Noir Bruchsal Gipskeuper

This German red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables, potato pan with salmon or spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce.
