More information about Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 3,0l Doppelmagnum - Tenute Silvio Nardi

The barrel-aged Brunello di Montalcino 3.0l double magnum from the wine-growing region of Tuscany is a dense ruby red in the glass. If you hold the glass at a slight angle, you can see a transition in color towards garnet red at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high level of density and richness, which can be seen in the clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The nose of this Tenute Silvio Nardi red wine reveals all kinds of raspberries and redcurrants. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in small wooden barrels adds further aromas such as vanilla.

This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. On the finish, this mature red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region impresses with its remarkable length. There are again hints of redcurrant and raspberry. In the finish, mineral notes from the sand and slate-dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Brunello di Montalcino 3.0l double magnum from Tenute Silvio Nardi

The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on sand and slate soils in Tuscany. The Brunello di Montalcino 3.0l double magnum is also clearly determined by the climate and the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wine-growing style. This Italian wine can literally be described as a wine of the Old World, which presents itself in an exceptionally impressive way. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once optimum ripeness has been ensured. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the powerful Brunello di Montalcino 3.0l double magnum is aged for a further 18 months in French and Slavonian oak barriques.
