More information about Cahors Grande Cuvée Prestige - Château la Coustarelle

With the Château la Coustarelle Cahors Grande Cuvée Prestige comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this, it reveals a wonderfully dense, crimson color. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. Ideally poured into a red wine glass, this Old World red wine offers wonderfully expressive aromas of black currant, blueberry, blackberry and mulberry, rounded off by other fruity nuances contributed by barrel aging.

This dry red wine from Château la Coustarelle is something for wine connoisseurs who would prefer 0.0 grams of residual sugar in their wine. This silky red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of blueberry and black currant show.

Vinification of the Château la Coustarelle Cahors Grande Cuvée Prestige

This powerful red wine from France is vinified from the Malbec and Tannat grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Cahors Grande Cuvée Prestige from Château la Coustarelle

Enjoy this red wine from France ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, lemon chili chicken with bulgur or spinach gratin with almonds.
