The elegant Kaiken Malbec from the house Kaiken flows into the glass with bright purple. The first nose of Kaiken Malbec presents of black cherries, plums and blueberries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging like even more fruity balsamic nuances.
On the palate, Kaiken's Malbec starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This red wine is one of the latter, as it was bottled with only 1.8 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to its concise fruit acid, the Kaiken Malbec is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Mendoza finally captivates with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Kaiken Kaiken Malbec
The basis for the balanced Kaiken Malbec from Mendoza are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Kaiken Malbec are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Kaiken Malbec is aged for another 6 months in French oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Kaiken Malbec from Kaiken
This red wine from Argentina is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to chickpea curry, spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce or stuffed peppers.
