More information about Doppio Passo Grillo Sicilia DOC - Carlo Botter
The light-footed Doppio Passo Grillo Sicilia from Carlo Botter glides into the glass with a brilliant pale yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Sicily seduces with notes of sun-ripened citrus fruits such as grapefruit and lime and aromas of yellow stone fruit. Its fruity character is what makes this wine so special.
On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully crisp. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Sicily is impressive with good length. Once again, there are hints of lemon and orange.
Vinification of the Carlo Botter Doppio Passo Grillo Sicilia
The elegant Doppio Passo Grillo Sicilia from Italy is a cuvée made from the Catarratto, Chardonnay and Grillo grape varieties.
Doppio Passo is best explained in two simple steps. In the first step, the grapes are harvested at the normal harvest time. In the second step, the grapes are left on the vines for longer, which increases the ripeness and concentration of the berries. For this white wine, only Grillo is harvested in the first stage. Catarrato and Chardonnay are added in the second stage. Both grape harvests are combined and fermented together in stainless steel tanks.
Dining recommendation for the Doppio Passo Grillo Sicilia from Carlo Botter
Ideally enjoy this white wine from Italy well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompaniment to fruity endive salad, coconut-lime fish curry or spaghetti with yoghurt-mint pesto.
