Vinification of Cantina Marilina Grecanico Sketta

This wine clearly puts the emphasis on one grape variety, and that is Grecanico. Only impeccable grape material was used for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Cantina Marilina. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Sicily. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and concrete at controlled temperatures. At its end, Grecanico Sketta can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 9 months.

This Italian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to omelet with salmon and fennel, fruity endive salad or potato skillet with salmon.
