Septentrion Crianza DO - Pagos de Obanos

With the Pagos de Obanos Septentrion Crianza comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. Here it offers a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. If you hold the glass at an angle, you can see a transition of color towards garnet red at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. With a little time in the glass, this Old World red wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of plum, mulberry, blackberry and black currant, rounded out by cocoa bean, vanilla and oriental spices contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

The Pagos de Obanos Septentrion Crianza delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Vinification of the Septentrion Crianza from Pagos de Obanos

The basis for the powerful Septentrion Crianza from Aragon are grapes from the grape varieties Merlot and Tempranillo. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Septentrion Crianza is aged for several months in oak barrels.

Drink this red wine from Spain best tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to duck breast with sugar snap peas, boeuf bourguignon or ossobuco.
