More information about Kaisergarten Chardonnay trocken - Tobias Krämer
The Kaisergarten Chardonnay from the pen of Tobias Krämer from Rheinhessen shows a bright, golden yellow color in the wine glass. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. Ideally poured into a white wine glass, this Old World wine offers wonderfully expressive aromas of mango, pineapple, gallia melon and physalis, rounded out by sun-warmed rocks and forest floor contributed by aging in wooden barrels.
This dry white wine from Tobias Krämer is perfect for wine drinkers who would prefer 0.0 grams of sugar in their wine. The Kaisergarten Chardonnay already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 6.6 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully creamy and dense. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Kaisergarten Chardonnay presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of physalis and mango. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and clay dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Tobias Krämer Kaisergarten Chardonnay
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Chardonnay. For this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Tobias Krämer, only first-class grapes were harvested. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. Kaisergarten Chardonnay is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that Chardonnay grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very high influence on the ripening of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Then fermentation takes place in small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Kaisergarten Chardonnay is aged for several months in barriques and 900 l oak tonneau.
Food recommendation for the Kaisergarten Chardonnay by Tobias Krämer
This German wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to stir-fried vegetables with fish, red onions stuffed with couscous and apricots, or chickpea curry.
