Vinification of Muri-Gries Grauvernatsch
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Vernatsch. Only immaculate grapes were harvested for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Muri-Gries. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Grauvernatsch are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of punishing and barely selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Grauvernatsch can harmonize further for several months on the fine lees.
