More information about Riesling By the Glass trocken - Villa Huesgen
In the glass, the Riesling By the Glass from Villa Huesgen reveals a brilliantly shimmering light yellow color. This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of lemongrass, grapefruit, pomelo and lime in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.
This white wine from Villa Huesgen is a good choice for all wine lovers who like as little sweetness as possible in their wine. At the same time, however, it never shows itself to be meager or brittle, as one might naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Riesling By the Glass is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Villa Huesgen Riesling By the Glass
The basis for the elegant Riesling By the Glass from Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Mosel. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and slate. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Riesling By the Glass are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Riesling By the Glass is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
