Vinification of the Espenhof Winery Sauvignon Blanc

This elegant Sauvignon Blanc from Germany is a single varietal wine, vegan vinified from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Sauvignon Blanc is aged for several months in oak barrels.

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as a companion to roasted trout with ginger pear, asparagus salad with quinoa or chickpea curry.
