More information about Sauvignon Blanc - Weingut Espenhof
The barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen reveals itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of lemons, lemongrass, gooseberries and pomelo in the glass. These are joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.
This dry white wine from Weingut Espenhof is something for wine lovers who can't drink their wine dry enough. The Sauvignon Blanc already comes very close to this, it was pressed with just 1.6 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp and light texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Sauvignon Blanc is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Espenhof Winery Sauvignon Blanc
This elegant Sauvignon Blanc from Germany is a single varietal wine, vegan vinified from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Sauvignon Blanc is aged for several months in oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Sauvignon Blanc from Weingut Espenhof
