Squinzano - L'Antesi

The L'Antesi Squinzano is a first-class red wine in a glass. It presents a wonderfully brilliant ruby red color. In the glass, this red wine from L'Antesi offers aromas of black cherries, damsons, morello cherries and plums, complemented by toasted barrique, oak and cigar box. The L'Antesi Squinzano is pleasantly dry for wine lovers. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the upper price range. This dense and velvety red wine is light-footed and multi-layered on the palate. The Squinzano is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Apulia wine-growing region is impressive with its considerable length. There are again hints of black cherry and morello cherry.

Vinification of the Squinzano from L'Antesi

The elegant Squinzano from Italy is a cuvée made from the Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro grape varieties. The berries for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 6 months of ageing in oak barriques.

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to goose breast with gingery red cabbage and marjoram, pumpkin casserole or cabbage roulades.
