Pfefferer Pink Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT - Kellerei Schreckbichl

At the time, Franz Sinn and Luis Raifer remember that they never expected this wine to be so successful. Sinn was the cellar master and Raifer was the chairman and managing director of the Schreckbichl winery. It was in 1978 that Karl Nicolussi-Leck, then a member of the winery's supervisory board, gave the impetus for the wine. Nicolussi-Leck had old vines of the Pfefferer grape in his vineyards not far from the winery and asked the winery whether it would be possible to create a wine from these grapes. No sooner said than done: in 1979, the first bottles with the name "Pfefferer" were launched on the market, at that time still in small bottlings.

"Pfefferer" in rosé! A wine with a seductively aromatic fragrance and a rosy hue. Aromas of red fruits such as strawberries with delicate peach and spice notes followed by an uplifting note are typical of this flattering wine for the palate.

This is a real quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. A fresh wine with an appealing, aromatic fragrance and a bright rosé hue. Aromas of red berries such as strawberries and delicate peach and spicy notes followed by a stimulating play of acidity are typical of this palate-flattering wine, and the Kellerei Schreckbichl Pfefferer Pink is a first-class rosé wine. It has a wonderfully brilliant, light pink color. This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. This crisp rosé wine is light-footed and multi-layered on the palate. The Pfefferer Pink presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this youthful rosé wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region captivates with its exceptional persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the soils dominated by sand and limestone.

Vinification of Pfefferer Pink from Kellerei Schreckbichl

This elegant rosé wine from Italy is made from Merlot, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and limestone. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. After a short maceration period, the red and white grapes are pressed and the must fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by a further maturation phase on the fine lees.
