Sauvignon Blanc trocken - Knipser

Sauvignon speaks German, and not just since yesterday. The Knipser family has been interpreting this original grape in the Palatinate for years and has created a dry white wine of a quality and complexity that is hard to find here.

A Sauvignon Blanc straight out of a picture book - fragrant, animating with hints of green grass, gooseberry, boxwood and ripe papaya, Knipser's Sauvignon Blanc presents itself to the nose. Slightly tropical in character - but gripping and honestly dry on the palate. The perfect balancing act between old and new world, and from our Palatinate region. A dry Sauvignon Blanc as you would imagine it. Vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc from Knipser

This Sauvignon Blanc is a cuvée of grapes from various vineyards, with the vines growing on both limestone and alluvial soils (gravel and sand from the Rhine). After selective hand-picking of the grapes, the berries are crushed and undergo cold maceration overnight in the tank press under oxygen exclusion. This is followed by chilled fermentation of the must at 19°C in stainless steel tanks.

Enjoy this dry white wine from Germany with fish dishes with fresh herbs and boiled potatoes, Asian cuisine or vegetarian vegetable casseroles.
