On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Weißer Burgunder Kabinett flatters with a velvety mouthfeel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this storable white wine from the wine-growing region of Baden finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of grapefruit and lemongrass. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and clay are added.
Vinification of the Josef Ambs Weißer Burgunder Kabinett
This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam and loess. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc Kabinett can continue to harmonize for a few months on the fine lees...
